“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,” Hebrews 10:24.
Watching the news and even scrolling through your social media can be directly adverse to the directive in this verse in Hebrews. I mean seriously, the news will tell you the sky is falling and your newsfeed page is filled with everyone preaching to the choir. Somehow we don’t grasp that our pontificating on social media really only reaches our friends, who, more than likely already share the same political, social, and religious views as you do. Scripture tells us life and death, are in the power of the tongue. Our words and actions, particularly toward our brothers and sisters in Christ, should stir us to “love and good works”. Our portion and treasure is Christ regardless of who, or what is trending on any given day. When our focus is on the immeasurable worth of knowing Him, being in fellowship with Him, walking in the rhythm of his grace every day, we can be stirred in our spirit to walk in the “one anothers”. We can see beyond the words of death to the words of life in Him. We can speak life and encouragement, juxtaposed to society’s rhetoric because we rest in Him who knows the end from the beginning!
Lest we be dragged down into the mire of doom, gloom, the dreaded woe is me syndrome, and the yeah ain’t it awful club, let’s take a look at this list of “one anothers” ………..

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14
